TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL SENIOR PORTRAIT SESSION
Below are some tips and guidelines that we think will help us create a successful portrait session and great results for you. Please take a couple of minutes to read through this page.
ARRIVE EARLY
Getting to your session early might get you more time in front of the camera, hence, more pics to choose from. Please arrive to your session "Camera Ready", but in case you need to prepare at our location (hair, makeup, etc.) please arrive early enough to be ready by your start time. Bring a friend to help you with clothing changes, make-up….and to help you feel comfortable.
Props
Don't be shy! This is your time to "Ham It Up"
We encourage you to bring LOTS of personal items that help to define who you are. Some popular choices are: Sports equipment, letter jackets, medals, trophies, college themed accessories, skateboard, skis, musical instruments, even Boyfriends/Girlfriends. If you are booking an outdoor session, think about incorporating your car or truck, pets or whatever.
CLOTHING
Solid colors photograph best. Bright/Neon colors can be cool, but try to avoid busy patterns. We suggest that you mix it up. Think of what Mom wants and then we can do the stuff You like.
MAKEUP
Don't sweat this one! Just wear what you normally wear. Just please avoid glitter.
HAIR
Avoid changing your hairstyle or cutting your hair right before your session. Let it be natural.
